To give you a short answer, yes.

To give you a more explained answer, well, here you go:

You can order a Kawasaki FE400 from Club Car (13hp) that will bolt right in. It's going to be the clockwise rotation just like your stock engine.

If you buy any old engine from Joe's Engines, Train Station, Air Strip, and Bar, then no, it won't work. Reason is this: it's going to be a counterclockwise rotation engine and you're going to be running in reverse for forwards and in a 17:1 gear ratio.

Yes, it's very strong. Strong as in built like a tank, and strong as in it pulls pretty darn hard.

I think modding the engine first would be a better idea, then if you blow it up,drop in the engine nono said about.

Is the engine expensive, the fe400. Is it still a single cylinder.
my stock engine works great ,just think it might dog with 6:1 gears.

The FE400 is a single cylinder. It's around the same price of a Big Block kit, but it's a direct bolt-in replacement from Club Car.

I think with 6:1 gears, you may want to look for a Big Block, though.

maybe some clutch work would help.

If you're putting in 6:1 gears, it's going to be pretty dead.

If I were you, I'd send the engine to Tom at CPP and ask him to build it as much as possible.
