Set A Precedent
Hey All-
I thought this might be a good time to post my build as i have made some significant progress. I bought my 06 CC Precedent about 3 weeks ago with the full intention of making it a cruiser. I knew I wanted it to be on air and I was hoping it was similar to the EZ Go's but found out quickly that it wasn't. I initially wanted to go the air shock route but couldn't find any that would work the way I wanted. Now I know why there are a lot more dropped EZ Go's out there compared to Precedent's... Anyway, Here are some pics of where I am at right now. I plan on having this thing (done for the most part) by the end of next week. questions and comments are always welcome. Thank you, come again... |

Re: Set A Precedent
Thanks Offtwice! It has been a bit challenging but i'm happy with the result so far.
Tonight I trimmed the rear fenders so it can drop all the way back there. When it's all the way down the frame is 3 inches off the ground when you measure from the bottom of the front rear leaf mount. I am going to need to do some trimming on the front fenders also. The rear has a ton of lift because I used a sleeve type of airbag. the front are slam bags. Also, this cart had a cracked passenger side cup holder and I started to fix that with some Duramix 40/40...wish i didn't have to do that but oh well...i might just order a new one if this doesn't turn out like I want... |

Dews,
Those cup holders are cheap to replace, don't waste your time repairing. The back fenders look great trimmed! I am gonna copy you on that idea!!! The fronts of mine are resting on the tires, so I am interested in how much you cut off yours. I was struggling with cutting vs. getting a custom made. OT |

Re: Set A Precedent
Thanks OT. I took about 1 1/8 inches off of the back fenders, I might take a bit more off because they are sitting right on the tires now. I'm going to wait and see how it looks when I get the body back on though. I will be trimming the fronts either tonight or tomorrow. I'm not going to need to take very much off the fronts maybe only 1/2 inch.
Some of the other things to look for in the next few days are: Air gauge and switches 2 digital volt meters. (1 for cart batteries, 1 for accessory 12v battery) Headlights and LED tail lights Steering wheel and column sleeve Key switch replacement Seat Upholstery LED Lights Further out... Chopped top (going to do a rag top instead of the factory) Dash Cover with locking door Audio System Rear Seat more... |

Re: Set A Precedent
SWEET
Funny how similar our builds are. Although, I have decided not to do air suspension, just going to continue with the drop and keep it low. I am still waiting on parts for the rear disk brakes, then hopefully I can make progress a bit faster. Your project looks great man. OT |
