anybody selling a lowered cart... ?
Anybody looking to sell? I've been reading this forum for quite a while, and have seen the build threads of NEWORLEANS-YAT, dews, hotcat, and a few others, and love them.
Was at a local big dirt track race this past weekend with my wife and a LOT of folks had golf carts out ther - including my brother-in-law. Wife and I took a cruise on his clubcar - and we're hooked. Our town will have an ordinance passed pretty quick to allow the use of them, so we are on the hunt! Been doing a lot of looking and I see a lot of folks that want the price of a used car for even their completely stock carts. Wouldn't mind paying $2500 for a cart that already has some stuff done to it, but $2k for a bone stock cart? Questions: 1. How much $$$$ do you guys with lowered carts have into them? 2. What is a good 'jump off' for a stock cart? Seems like E-Z-GO has the majority of the lowered crowd. 3. Anybody selling currently?! Thanks fellas! |

Re: anybody selling a lowered cart... ?
It's kinda funny... When I first moved into my house I found an old 89 ezgo golfcart laying in the back under a pile of stuff left by the previous home owners. It wasn't till summer that learned that pretty much everyone in this town has a golf cart. The eyeopener for me was when I went to the town parade and golfcarts lined up every where... Almost every custom cart here is lifted usually team or liquor inspired themes. On the flip side I have gotten to be part of 25 different cart builds. Boxes of shiny bits all ready to be put on a freshly painted cart. Spend the morning going balls to the walls, then that evening taking test rides. Of course with liquid relaxation juice marveling at what was created...
I dunno I just joined this site at the end of august. I thought I had seen it all.. Then I clicked on the on road carts, and seeing the stuff on here... All I can say is WOW! This is the way I wanna go with my old cart. You can buy a finished cart, but dang are ya missing out on a major fun (sometimes hair pulling) part of it. As far as money put into it... I don't look at it as an investment or something I'm looking to make a profit on... Course mine is ripped apart in my garage, parts everywhere. New rims and tires (I went 13" 205/30's ) Air shocks, compressor outta a 95 Lexus, 2 30oz air tanks, a quart of House of Kolor Tangerine. Now I seen a thread on some guy putting in a Yamaha Bravo motor using an ezgo clutch... Rutro wonder how it would scoot with a phazer motor... Dang it... Now I got a winter project! |

Appreciate the offer man - your cart is SICK. SICK usually = more than my wife is willing to drop $$$$.
Lemme know if you ever get desperate and wanna let it go for $2500. You've probably got at least that much into it, not including the price of the cart! That thing is drop dead sexy. |
