2 inch wheel spaces (nice peices) and wheels and tires. Now you can see why I want to add "fender flares"! Will also have to "modify" the side rails...the front tires hit when turning.

I really like the wheel and tire combo. I would like to lower the front end.. we'll see if cutting and reworking the side rails will take care of the steering clearence. The rear end drop...I'll wait and see what it looks like "stance" way's. Any ideas on how to treat and paint the rusty frame? Enough for today. Later dave

Dave, I never said anything about your butt!!!! LOL
But glad you dove into it. Looks like you got a lot done. I am just an old hillbilly so I have to ask...Why turn it over on it's side? Wouldn't that put the dif lub where you really don't want it? (Dumb hick here).

Any idea how much of the side rail you are going to have to remove? It doesn't look like much at all.

I reconize those tires...WOW went with the high $ stuff. Would like to see a view of the rims they are on. They look sharp as a fresh honed skinnin knife.

I copied the pics and put them into power point and will do some ideas and send them to you to see what you think. But it looks like the backs are going to be a cake walk, its the fronts that will take some thinking and some extra work, but oh yea flares will look good and if you are going to lower it that should just add to the looks of it. I wish I had a G8 body here I could work up the flares and send them to you but I don't.

Stay the course...Rodger

(Dumb hick here).> Not really, the diff has oil seals at the axle tube mounting and the axles have sealed bearings at the outer end of the tubes. I'm going to replace gearlube and check/clean or replace the brakes anyway. It was easier for me to remove splash pan and some other things that weren't needed on the frame and swing arm.

Any idea how much of the side rail you are going to have to remove? It doesn't look like much at all. >I'd say 1 to 2 inches. Unlike the last car I cut in the back (for the tires) I'll just do it in the front.

They look sharp as a fresh honed skinnin knife.> You would be suprized how little those tires cost (from Gateway) not High end at all (from the tread pattern, you'd just think so). The wheels....Of course the same as the rear on the Hotrod build...12 x 8's 5 spoke!

Stay the course...Rodger
