Quick question
I am about to go the other direction and lower a cart. My question is: After you lower your cart, have you loaded it up in a truck or on a trailer and had problems get high centered? I like to take my golf cart to different places and wasn't sure if a lowered cart would bottom out using truck ramps to load in the back of my truck or on my trailer with a ramp. Thanks.

Re: Quick question
A stock height cart drags pretty good using ramps to load on a pickup.

Re: Quick question
You could always put an air suspension in it. That way you can go low when ya want to and raise it when need be.

Re: Quick question
I would imagine that it would be an issue getting it in the back of a truck but mine goes right on my trailer just fine even with no air in the shocks.

Re: Quick question
Great. Thanks guys. I figured the truck would be tough. Looks like I will be using the trailer.

Re: Quick question
There are a lot of variables.
How low is lowered? The lower you go the more trouble you are likely to have with ramps and parking lot speed bumps. How high is the trailer and how long are the ramps? Ramp length makes a big difference in whether or not a cart will high center. My old trailer had a 4 ft ramp and Ezgo Marathons would drag their belly getting on. Now I have a 5ft ramp and the low slung marathons clear the hinge point getting on/off. Often you can find a slope or curb to drop the gate on to minimize the angle.... Hope this helps |
