Some Advice for a noob
I have an 08 Precedent that I want to do some basic mods over time. I play golf every week so for the most part I would like for it not to be out of commission for too long for each mod.
The first mod is goind to be a rear seat which I should be ordering here int he next couple of weeks. Does anyone have any suggestions as to which model is best? I want to keep the basket and stock roof supports. Also, I supposed I need to get HD springs for the rear. My plan with with wheels is to go with 12" wheel with low-pros without lifting the cart. Any advice would be great! |

Re: Some Advice for a noob
NOthing...huh? Well, I'll get some pics up soon to get the juices flowin. I have started taking the cart apart. I'm trying to get the rear bumper off and can't figure out how it's attached. I want to sand the front and rear bumpers smooth and match them with the body paint. Will post some photos soon.
For you painters out there, I am Florida Gator fan so I am going to paint my cart gator blue. I dont want it to be obnoxiously Gatored out, but I was thinking about trying to lay down Blue with a layer of clear that has orange flake. Something where you only really see the orange is you're up close. Any suggestions? |

Re: Some Advice for a noob
I have to pay a little tribute, it's my Alma Matter!! GO GATORS!!
Pics are on the way, working on taking my cart all the way down to the frame. I'm not going to do a ton of mods, as I don't have endless cash right now, but I am going to rebuild it and make it clean, clean, clean. Probably going to repaint almost every part, I'm getting down into it and I'm finding a lot of rusted parts . Thinking about going with a high gloss white paint for the frame (everyone does black ) Let me add......I have no idea what I'm doing, but this should be fun! |

Re: Some Advice for a noob
Alright, I said I was going to upload some pics so here goes!
This area was completely covered in old grass and brown widow nests and webs. I should have taken some pictures before I cleaned it all out. My next task is going to be getting these puppies out of here so I can get this thing completely disassembled. Single point watering system may complicate things a little. Are there any special considerations I should take when removing the batteries? (besides lifting with the legs) There is a lot more rust than I was hoping to find, but it shouldn't be too much trouble...I hope. Any thoughts on components that must be replaced if rusty? |

As I said before, I'm not going to do too many mods, but I want this thing to be a really lean looking rebuild. Any thoughts on painting hardware i.e suspension, axel, frame? You know...the underbits.
