Yes the solar charging is a fantastic option, it makes a lot of sense for our customers applications as they mainly use the carts to commute in short spurts around their resorts, so while the cart is sitting it is being charged, a lot of our customers won't have to plug their carts into the wall all season long with this system.

Check out the blog and feel free to ask any other questions you have.

We also use a charge controller (it's a must for all the solar systems) Our systems fit a factory roof as well, so no need to change your roof.

The solar panel with the charge controller and wiring comes in right around 5.5lbs total weight.

Hope that helps.

What are specs on the panel and how much would you charge to ship me that roof set-up? It looks nice and clean and I like the idea of a solar cart.

Hello thank you for your interest and your positive feedback.

It is an 80 watt panel, weighs 3.3lbs, in good sunlight we are seeing over 3.5amps closer to 5 amps so it is a very good setup.

The Solar package retails for $1499 on our website, we could have offered the package at a lesser price however we chose to stick with North American and European made products.

Our roof system retails at $1699 so as a combination it is not an inexpensive proposition, it would come in at $3198 plus freight. As a package we could offer a better price point around $2750.00 plus freight.

I hope that helps with your questions.

Thanks again for your interest!
