Default Re: Diesel Powered EZGO Workhorse

from my experience with Diesel engines, there is a crank position sensor and you set the timing by the fuel pump as you would a distributor. It has letters on the pump pulley, A B C and each engine app. uses different letter positions, same pump for many engines.

Some people just readjust the pump to get more fuel and end up wasting fuel just to get black smoke. As cool as that looks, it just means it's getting more fuel then the cylinder can burn.

Anyway, that's why I was looking into another mower tach cause it's hard to find stuff like that for 3cyl. I'm not sure if the 3cyl pistons come up 2 at a time then one or what the configuration is. I'll know soon enough.
