Default Re: Golf Cart Battery Comparison

I bought a 1993, 36volt EZGO last year with charger etc and everything has worked up to now pretty well. About a week ago my wife was going down to the beach and only got a few houses away when it started losing power. She manged to get it back into the garage and when I got home from work checked the voltages on all batteries at around 5.82 for the Trojans there are 5 and what looks like an Exide 2200 AH battery which was reading 4.6 v. I manged to get some time to work on it today and decided to put a charger on that battery alone. It is now charged up to 6.2 volts and I plan to leave it on the charger.

My question is can you mix batteries like this or is it not smart too do that and understanding consistant readings as important should I take this battery out and replace with a Trojan or replace them all since they are not reading as high as quoted above. Have no idea about these carts as I have never owned one before.

Thanks!
