Soldered it? Man I wouldn't do that. The solder can come loose and end up in your engine and cause damage. Plus if you drilled it out you are not getting the correct atomization of the fuel. It's not just the size of the hole, but also the shape of it. It might be running, but not the way it was designed.

You're best bet is to order the factory part. Buy only Briggs and Stratton brand parts from an authorized dealer. Otherwise you might not get the correct part or you'll get a cheap china made knockoff that may or may not work.
