golf cart quality and durability drivetrain/chassis?
Steve here... Newbee to this forum. I am in the market for a golf cart for home use. I have no clue on the quality of the three popular brands (Clubcar ezgo and yamaha). I am not looking for a brand new unit. What models of each do you recommend and which ones should I stay away from.
Thank you Steven |

This is the old ford/chevy/dodge question. I prefer Ezgo. Better ride than CC better avilability of parts and service centers than Yamaha...

I have narrowed it down to the three(CC Ezgo and Yamaha) and gas for sure. My wife and I will primarily be using it in the yard. Steve |

Re: golf cart quality and durability drivetrain/chassis?
I love my gas Club Car! Nice aluminum frame that I don't have to worry about rust. It has been used and abused and still keeps going. I have been amazed with how much I can haul with only that 9 HP engine. It is a 95 so I have to worry about engine rotation craziness.
Seems to be a lot more parts for upgrades for EZ-Go. I have been told Yamaha's have a lot more torque so I might keep a look out for one of these next. |

Re: golf cart quality and durability drivetrain/chassis?
Thank you guys for some feedback. I have to apologize for starting this thread here, but I did not know which sub forum to start it.
Dumb question. What engines do the three come with. I assume the yami comes with it's own make engine, but what about the ezgo and the clubcar. What brand of engine do those come with. When did the 2 cylces go out and the 4 strokes become popular. Which units come with an aluminum frame? Steve |
