Default 83 ezgo resistor question?

ok im modding my 83 ezgo marathon. going low with it. my question is how hot does the coils get? i need to relocate them and was going to move them just didnt know how hot thye got and what not to put them around. its a few inches away from motor and rearend.

Go in the house and put the toaster on high.... Wait a minute, then look inside of it.... that's how hot they get.

In fact the original under glow lighting was inspired by an ezgo driven slow at night...

i didnt realize they got that hot. but where i had planned on moving it has more room around it than it does now. so i think i may be alright. im going to leave plenty of space around it. for it to cool and may put heat sheild near the side that may be closer than the rest.

Those coils will very easily (scary easily) ignite grass in a 10 acre field and then..... the fire department will show up.

Hmmm im wondering whos 10 acres it was. And beleive me i know all about catching grass on fire. I drove my bodydropped dakota for over 2 hrs to go to show. I layed it out after i cleaned everything and it still burnt the ground.
