Default Installing rear strut?

Got these golfcardiscounters.com/cart/product.php?id=8929 rear struts so I can install a small ATV style cargo box. I have the roof off and disassembled the entire body, can not figure out what the base of the strut is supposed to attach to, any help would be appreciated.

From their website:

"Rear strut set used in conjuction with Club Car Precedent Rear Seat kits & OEM standard top when installing our seat kit or cargo box, steel or aluminum only. For Club Car G&E 2004-up Precedent" . . .

. . . that may be the problem . . .
