That's about 85/1 ratio. what does your Yamalube bottle recommend? IMHO a good conventional oil should be no leaner than 50/1 and the good synthetics would be ok at 85/1. Keep in mind a 2 stroke will run with no oil but not for long, 200/1 a little longer, ............ Better safe than sorry

Yamaha G1 service manual states that the oil injection system mixes the oil at between 150:1 and 300:1.

You can mix at whatever you want, but more oil isn't necessarily better. For chain saws, trimmers, and blowers the engine runs at near max rpm for long periods of time. More oil is required in these situations. For the Yamaha G1 golf cart engine, low speed and low rpm are "normal conditions", which requires much less oil. If you mix at 50:1, you'll have a mosquito fogging machine.

I ran 85:1 for two years with no wear whatsoever, using Echo brand air cooled 2 cycle oil and a fuel conditioner. I ran 100:1 for almost a year with better results, less smoke and no oil drips from the muffler. It actually ran much better at 100:1. The engine is disassembled now and you can still see the cross hatching inside the cylinder.
