99 ds motor bearing replacement
I have a new to me 99 ds. it is a 48 volt with a controller. it is making a strange noise coming from the motor. i yanked the motor out and it has a rubber bumper inside the armature that looks good. no guide ring as i was told? anyway i now think the rear bearing in the motor is bad. I have seen these listed for pretty cheap so i thought i would give that a try. Has anyone ever replaced one of these? i did some searching but came up short.
I did put the cart on jack stands and remove the tires and brake drums. the vibrations were still there. thanks for any help, Aaron |

This kit comes complete with a new bearing, it also includes a splined rubber bumper (which would normally fit inside the motor shaft) which should not be fitted as it can cause the motor to lock up. |
