Default 1990 Yamaha g2 project

Ok I pulled the yamaha into the building to start a little work on it. I've already discovered a couple problems I think. First in this picture under the seat there is a plug that is not plugged into anything....what is it? Second, while I was adjusting the governor I noticed on the side of the differential there is a hole with no plug, or anything in it. You can see right in to the gears........ Tell me I'm not nuts....Surely there is suppose to be something sealing that off. If I'm right where can I get this piece at. Its on the drivers side. Also what is the best way to adjust the throttle cable....I adjusted the governor almost to where it would stop. I'm not exactly sure which would be best way to adjust the cable though. Here is a few pics of the start. I'll update when I start doing more stuff. Some help on these question would be a big help. Thanks

The extra plug on the ignition switch was for accessoies, nothing plugs into it. The trany is missing the vent tube part# JN3-47559-00-00 about 6 bucks at your Yamaha dealer.

Looks like pvc hose is off and might be missing a rubber stopper for the starter/generator which is no biggie, just don't get any water down inside the starter/generator.

Thanks for the help guys. I was in the middle of messing around with the cart, and I heard the dogs barking. It was the UPS man dropping off my new wheels/tires. I tried to put them on, but they hit the rockers in the rear, and the fronts just need it to be lifted. So I have brand new tires, and can't even put them on....lol Gotta wait on the pachanga lift. Heres some pics.

Oh....forgot. They are 22x11x8 Sahara Classic A/T. The wheels are 2.5 by 4.5 offset.

You need to get the spring/spacer torque kit for it after you put on the lift and bigger tires. Best $50 you'll ever spend.
