Default Best Battery?

Hey guys I'm just getting into the golf cart world and it's burning a whole in my pocket lol. I was going to do a secondary battery for a stereo system and I wanted some ideas for the best marine deep cycle battery in the 100-150 bucks range? Any opinions on which route to go would be appreciated.

Why another battery and a separate charging system? Why not a DC reducer for half the cost?

DC reducer for half the cost. Is the best way to go get it from Scotty B above at cart's unlimited. You will never find better service, faster shipping, and answers to questions. Scott B @ Cart's Unlimited ROCKS !!!!

Well I didn't wanna take away from my main battery's to power my cart. I drive it a lot at the beach and around town so I figured it'd be better to do that to prolonge charging the batteries. I've looked at the DC converters but a lot of people run separate batteries so idk. Guess I'll have to think about it more

The reducer is for electric carts. Had to think about that one for minute.

Your controller can draw hundreds of amps, your DC converter might draw 7, with everything turned on. As you can see, this wouldn't make a noticable difference.
