China knockoff controller
Anyone have any knowledge if these Chinese controllers are any good. I have a street legal golf cart and I’ll just be driving around town.

Re: China knockoff controller
I installed one last week on an old Melex that a guy wanted running as cheap as possible. It works. That's about all I can say about it right now. Looks identical to the curtis.

Re: China knockoff controller
I considered getting one for my 93 marathon. But decided against it. So I'd like to see how people made out. I balked mainly because if there were issues I'd be kinda screwed for support. But I'd like to find out how reliable they are.

Re: China knockoff controller
Responses I've recieved have been all over the place. One common theme has been, if you are not pushing them anywhere near to the current limit and are not needing the missing advanced features, they perfom fine. But in cases where the rated current is required (like climbing hills or pushing large tires) and you do need the advanced teatures, don't buy a chinese clone of a Curtis controller.
