Re: question
Welcome to BGW
yes it is a TXT, just need to figure out what drive system you have, look at the pic and it will help you figure it out, looks like a DCS cart, it does have a TOW/RUN switch on the controller cover, passenger side under the seat ?? |

Re: question
If I may ask....what makes a cart a TXT? Is that word interchangeable with "Series"? I have one and am not sure what makes it a TXT. I think it stands for Texatron, right? But I'm not sure what sets it apart from another model.
Thanks. |

Re: question
A marathon cart was from the 70's to 93, then the medalist cart came along for a year or two, and in 96 came the TXT, and then in 08 came the RXV
TXT comes in a PDS -- DCS -- and series check out this link it will help you under stand http://www.shopezgo.com/customer-ser...ialNumber.html |

Re: question
The cart is a DCS cart (says so on the side of the rear body - Drive Control System).

Re: question
It has a separately excited motor. (don't ask, google it) Dcs carts produced tons of torque and were considerably faster than their Series wound predecessors.....But, they had one hole in them. If you run them low on battery power they will smoke the speed controller.... which is bad and expensive to replace.
So the next generation had a low voltage cut off and it was called the precision drive system (PDS) |
