Is a precharger relay board required?
I've seen that both Chargery and Zeva offer solutions to protect against inrush current to the motor controller. However, I don't really see anyone using them in their builds and searching doesn't yield any results.
I am assuming that it might depend on which controller you have (stock Yamaha 36v in my case). How can I tell if I need to use one? |

Re: Is a precharger relay board required?
There is nothing to do with the Controller, those devices do not apply to any golf cart.
Any golf cart on the market already has pre-charge circuits designed into the system, some are just a resistor over the Solenoid and others like the new Alltrax have built-in circuits for the pre-charge. |

Thanks Sergio, that's the answer I was hoping for.
