EZGO ST400 - Clone Engine
Good Afternoon from a Newbie,
Been using the forum search function looking for other threads that may help but I have come up short. I have ST400 that had a frozen motor. I think I have a mistake when I ordered the Vegas Carts Cradle and Engine plate for a Predator (had the engine). Initial line up shows the cradle not clearing the axle ribs. My guess is though its for a workhorse/ST350 the 400 is a different beast? Looking for any input from users that have done this. Happy to post up some pictures if that will help. Thank You! |

Re: EZGO ST400 - Clone Engine
The 400 is a Kawasaki single cylinder engine with a totally different cradle than the 350 cc two cylinder Robin engine. Last I heard Vegas Carts does not YET have a setup for that engine.

Thanks Meimk!
I was afraid of that. I will jump on the phone with Vegas Carts and see what my options are. Otherwise back to the drawing board. I will continue to be open to ideas. |

And before you ditch the Kawasaki I would pull it apart and inspect the damage. Might be savable. Or check on the price of a short block. That is if all you want to do is get it running again.

Thanks for the replies!
After further inspection I would need a long block. It looks like it dropped a valve and pulverized it into the cylinder wall, piston and head. The Vegas Carts Kit isn't that far off from fitting the ST. Quite a bit of adjust in the engine mount to line everything up. Thank You! |
