1999 G16E Yamaha won't Start w/new batteries and solenoid
Ok so one day the golf that we bought just stopped working. The batteries were dead and wouldn't take a charge so we replaced them all. The lights then began to work, but cart wouldn't move. There was no clicking of the solenoid so we also replaced the solenoid.
Now the golf cart is still not moving...and there is still no clicking when we press the pedal. We have checked all of the fuses. The cart will move when we put power across the solenoid. It seems that we lose power around the controller. Is there a test for the controller so that we can be sure before we replace yet another thing that doesn't fix the problem. What else could be causing this issue? |

Well, the stock controller is known to fail on its "yellow wire circuit", which ultimately powers the solenoid. Search for a G16e wire diagram & chase the yellow wires, test all devices on that circuit & check that circuit for power.
