Default 295 MCI carb suggestions

I have a 2001 TXT 4/6 shuttle. It has a MCI 295 engine. I am needing to replace the carb. The original had physical damage to the float mount and it can't be reused. I've been researching carburetors and seemed to be getting some mixed info. Does anyone know the specific, current part number for this application and possibly a good source for a quality replacement carburetor for my application? Thanks in advance!

Thank you for the advice. I have looked and spoke with EZ go about that carb too. I called and gave them the year, make, and model. They came up with the old part number of 72558 G02 which had since been changed to 60391.

I ask if they were sure, seeing's the description said pre MCI and not MCI and they were adamant that that is the part.

So again, it seems as though the numbers are a little screwy. I don't have a problem with the purchase amount, I just want to have confidence that I'm buying the correct one.

Wonder if anyone knows the difference between the two carbs we are talking about?

Pre mci and mci are basically the same specs for the carb. I believe the only real difference is the manufacturer. TK manufactured the pre-MCI carbs and I believe mikuni made the MCI carbs. Either will work, they both mount and connect the same way.

The important part is that it's the OEM carb. Either isnfine. Just stay away from the junk $20 china carbs and you'll be fine.

further, I believe the only difference between the 295 and 350 carbs is the jet size. lots of interchangeable parts. I've even used pre-mci ignition coils on MCI carts with no issues, other than the angle of the bracket and different connector style.
