Glad it was such a simple problem. Ran into that with the champion rockers on one of my small clone powered generators. A couple of dents into the inner cover took care of it. But on a piece of engineering art such as your engine the billet NR cover is a more fitting solution.

Sense everything else is studs I ordered m6 studs for the valve cover. The new cover is made of billet aluminum and could bend easily tighten the bolts. I got Belleview washers - there a spring cone washer to spread the clamping force over a larger area. lol

As I was looking in the hardware site I found Nord lock washers. I want to thank Ray for introducing me to then. There expensive as all get out -- but the best locking system for a bolt. My exhaust hasn't come loose sense I used them. Thanks again Ray.

I wish I had put one where the S/G bracket bolts into the block. That loosens up from time to time. But alas the clutch needs to be removed to remove that bolt. I tried oozing some lock tite red into there last time. We will see how that holds up. But in retrospect a nord would have solved the problem for good.

I'm back home - 40 days between the hospital and rehab. This was not my idea of fun but to God goes the glory and honor - He's strengthening me every day. I lost over 30lbs and that in itself is a big help.

Onward goes the VRX 460 Hemi Magnum.

Thank you all for your prayers!!!!!!!!

After installing the NR roller rockers I found I needed a taller valve cover. I got this beauty from NR and as the rest of the engine has studs for the head and side cover - the valve cover is stud mounted with cone spring washers and black flange nuts. I didn't want to bend up the aluminum cover tightening to it much.

This is the ignition system I'm working on in hopes of using my supercharger. The CDI is programmable via laptop or tablet. The brown wire reads rpm like a simple tachometer, a wire wrapped around the spark plug wire 0 to 15,000 rpm. Then in turn it fires the coil [HEI] 60,000 VOLTS The timing can be set for easy starting [8-10 degrees advance] -- then at 1200 rpm it advances more till full advance at 1800 to 2000 rpm. At this point the advance is 28 degrees BTDC. As boost gets up to around 5-6 lbs @ 3600 rpm the compression ratio is at around 12 to 1 and the timing needs to come down to about 23 degrees advance to control pre-detonation or engine knock -- at this point according to my program I'll be pumping 33hp at 3800 to 4000 rpm.

Thank goodness the VC block is plenty beefy. Did you add the ARC billet front cover ?
