Default Starting a 2 stroke harley that hasnt run in years

I bought a 1982 harley davidson golf cart that needed a new carb and fuel pump. Ive never seen it run, but the guy i bought it from said he had it running 2 years ago. Ive replaced the fuel pump,
Carb, air filter, spark plug and battery.
Im about ready to give it a try and im wondering if i need to do anything in terms of piston lubrication before turning it over?

Any advice?

Nah, things will be fine. If you want to add a bit of mixed fuel directly into the cylinder to lube your first few rotations to be sure then have it. It should be ok without it though.

Thanks. I got it firing and the wheels turning. Did a compression test and got 95 psi running forward and 105 in reverse. Seems low to me, Any clue what number i am supposed to get ? My manual doesn’t say anything about compression

Those engines are low compression. 90 psi is standard. You are in great shape.

Thanks! Appreciate the quick response.

Any tips in terms of getting it to higher RPMs? Im getting firing and the clutch just starting to engage, but refuses to rev up to get the wheels moving faster.
I’ve been playing with the carb mixture screw but cant seem to get it to rev up. My point gap is set to the manual specs, Not sure where to go from there...?
Thoughts?
