Hey I just put a Duromax in my CC and had the pedal start wired to a relay that’s a sticky. It was working but the engine would not start. Then the starter quit working so I pulled the relay out and pulled the recoil start and it fired up. How did you wire in your pedal start?

Steve the wiring for pedal start is sane as your factory wiring, you are using the club car starter generator. Just make sure you hook engine kill wire up!

I know I was trying to do Sho’s kill switch included with pedal.

Remember that is for a Yamaha. Wiring may be different for the starter generator. May not have same start/stop micro switch circuits...

The Yamaha G2/9 has a powered ignition, the coil takes 12v to run. The clone does not it takes no power and ground to shut it off. So the relay in that case wires ground to the clone coil and runs off the 12v ignition supply of the Yamaha. Then when you run it the 5 pin relay disconnects the ground and lets it run, otherwise it is killed.

So if your cart stock has a clone style or briggs/etc, flywheel powered magneto style coil then it should already have a way to ground the coil to kill it when the pedal is off. So it all depends on what type coil your engine has, compared to stock cart you have.

I had a clone that ran fine with stock cart gen and the starter on clone was also connected. One day the clone starter came on and would not stop. I had to pull the wires to it. It was hooked up to the stock clone key on the side of the clone.
