Cool Turbo ezgo?

I have Done a lot of searching but cant find any thing about a turbo on a cart?
Has any one done this? I have seen a supercharger on a cart.
I dont think it would be hard to put one on a cart but the fuel might be hard which brings me to my next ?? has and one put twin carbs on a cart?
You could just set one to open when you get in to the boost range??

Hello Ccs,

I'm not a turboexpert.

Turbo:
But i think the revs are to low in combi with a to small engine for real extra power.
The turbo will work at higher revs, that aren't there......
Or you have to build over the engine like mine is.

Compressor:
Works more on low revs, so ideal on a small engine.
In your carts you need bottompower for take off.
(Thats why the new Kawa does more on the bottom)

My enginebuilder has not tested a registercarb but did build on two separate carbs!
How?
By letting the engine go round the other way.
A carb on each exhaustport and one single exhoust on the inlet.
BUT a real big problem....... the head was melting down......

All i know is, that the EH engines are difficult on carbs.
Carbs like 38 mm on a 250 single Swissauto (35 hp) will not work on ours.
They are simple to big.
The onley way is to get a continuasly streaming airflow for as far as posible.
Our 30hp engine goes best on curvy racetracks with a 25mm with 20mm ventury.
For high speedtracks with minimum revs over 4800 we have a 30 - 25 mm.
With this carb the engine goes well over 9000.(Max 12000 on the stand!)
Revs where the little carb will not go, it feels like cloaked up at high revs.

Get a big V engine, its a lot cheaper, than 15 kilogram more isn't a problem for your carts.
It is for ours.(165kg including driver...)

Sweet stuff
dose any one know if someone has put a turbo on a stock cart engine?
or what you would have to do to get a stock engine to handle a turbo?

Hello Ccs,

What do you want?
-A half way reliable engine?
-How much money?
-Is it for daily use or some fun.
-How old / hours is your engine?
Get an answer on this questions befor starting.

You will need a new or nearly new basic engine.
Bearings in the rods or even steel rods to stand the pressure
A hardened cranck, the basic one will soon go in pieces.
New pistons which stand the extra heat????
Maybe better pistonrings to stand the pressure
The latest type of intake valves (Hardened)
Stronger valvesprings.
A optimised head / pistons for GOOD results
A intake aircooler.
Another carb.
Modified cranckcase ventilation or your oil will be blown out in no time

You see, if you want to do this job you have to do it good, and with much money, but stll for the fun and to see what is possible.
Or just buy for less money a v engine.

O and another thing.
For our racekart, with less groundclearance than 1 inch, it is no problem to get it wrong side up.
What do you think is the chance to get yours in that position?
So a roll-over cage and body protection for yourself aren't luxury things......
