Stealth doesn't move, everything else has power
I'm working on someone else's 2011 Stealth buggy and the story I got on what happened was that he was driving on flat ground with another guy not hauling or pulling anything and they heard a pop, smelled smoke, and it stopped moving. When they looked under the seat the end cap for the control motor popped off. With the exception of it not moving forward or backward everything else has power and the relay's still click when you push the pedal down. I need to know what to check and how to check it. I did check that there's no power getting to the drive motor. thanks for any help.

The control motor. It looks like it takes in all the power from the batteries and sends it to the drive motor. and I forgot to mention it's a 72 volt.

Yes, the controller. I just want to make sure it's the only thing bad. If other stuff is burned out too the guy that owns it might not want to fix it.

Re: Stealth doesn't move, everything else has power
Well hard to say without a working controller. Check the main solenoid (square albright) and the forward and reverse solenoids (round white rodgers 6 post) for obvious signs melting etc. If they are clicking in forward and reverse chances are they are ok.
If he wants to upgrade to a sw202 72v contactor in place of the white rodgers 6 post solenoids, it's recommended. |

The forward and reverse solenoids do click.
