Battery Light Flashing
Good morning y'all,
I am new to the forum and new to golf carts as well so I need a little help. I have a 2005 Club Car Precedent with the chip reprogrammed to go 19mph. I noticed that the battery light is flashiing on and off sporadically. The batteries had a full charge the day prior and I probably drove the cart less than three miles on paved streets! What would be causing this? Any help would be greatly appreciated!! |

Re: Battery Light Flashing
Was the charger finished before you unplugged it.. Sometimes the car goes into a maintenance charge, and the process can take up to 16 hours. The blinking light usually means something along the lines of "charge was interrupted". A solid light is telling you its low on juice.
Plug you car in and leave it on charge for 16 hours... see if it takes the light away. |

The light does not come on while driving.
I went in the garage this AM and the light was blinking on and off sporadically. The cart was not connected to the charger and no headlights or ignition switch had been left on. |

Re: Battery Light Flashing
Hey Phasetim I hooked the charger up and it cycled and shut off. Should i still leave it plugged in for 16 hours?

Re: Battery Light Flashing
I still need help!!
I did the 16 hour charge and the light did not come on. I then drove the cart 15-20 minutes tops and parked it overnight. I came out this morning and the light is blinking on and off again. I did a load test on the batteries prior to driving the cart and they are fine. Somebody please help!! |

Re: Battery Light Flashing
Have you tried to reset the OBC? Put in maint. mode, disconect batteries, put in reverse till buzzer stops, then hook everything back up and see what happens.

Re: Battery Light Flashing
When you say disconnect battery's ...do you mean just one lead, the one that goes to the motor(#6)...when you say reset the obc, what exactly happens...should the key be on or off

Re: Battery Light Flashing
when disconnecting main power you take off the pos cable of #1 battery ( rear pass side ) and neg. cable of #6 battery ( rear driver side ) as for trying to unlock OBC why? ........................................
