Be Plum Quick in a few days
Ordered a Plum Quick motor for my 97 cc today. Looking forward to seeing how much it quickens my cart's pace on the cart paths here in town. Mostly hoping for more torque so the cart does not slow down so much on the upgrades. I will be happy with 18 mph from the current 14 mph just dont like the 8 mph on the hills hate getting passed by walkers.
I will report back by Friday I hope. |

Good luck with your motor upgrade
Usually PlumQuick states a maximum speed increase of no more then 25% which would put you at around 17.5MPH, just shy of the 18MPH you're hoping for. I'm very happy with mine so far! |

Plum Quick now
Installed the Plum Quick motor today and I am very happy. The cart performs better than I had expected. Before installing the new motor I checked the carts brakes and found the right cable to be tight causing the right wheel to have a little extra drag. After correcting this I did a new run with the GPS to get a new baseline. The cart now did 15 mph on the flats up from 14 mph. After installing the new motor the same section of road produced a solid 19 mph. Hills that before slowed the cart down to 8 or 9 mph now topped at 12 mph. Our town has tight twisting cart paths so faster than 19 is not needed but the added pulling power on the hills is most welcome. The highest recorded GPS speed was 22 mph on a straight slight down hill by the lake. All in all the cart is much more drivable. All the runs were done with two adults in cart and windshield up.
