Inductive Throttle Sensor mounting position?

Finally have my new Navitas controller with the OTF (On The Fly) programmer installed and working. (kind of). Problem is the throttle has no variation in speed control when depressed. It is either On or Off and the speed is whatever speed has been set on the controller. So when I depress the throttle I get full speed throughout the range of the throttle. My ITS is mounted with the spade conntectors to the rear with white wire on passenger side, black wire on drivers side. Does the position matter? What would happen if wires were reveresed? Or ITS position reversed?

i have googled and googled but can not find any image whatsoever of the proper mounting position. (I think googled does that on purpose now just to flush you through a lot of advertising 'cause all I found were parts for sale. [and forums] But that's a whole other thread right?)

we have to assume you are asking about how its wired INSIDE the pedal box.....right?

It is amazing how internet searches have changed. It used to be all about information. Now its all about sales. I could not find any kind of image, photo, sketch, or anything to verify the correct position.

However on closer inspection (and reversing the position) it became obvious. The coil is actually angled at about 3-5 degrees from horizontal that only allows the pin (interrupter?) to travel clearly in one orientation.

Plus I replaced the existing one and re-calibrated the throttle to the controller and it works like a dream.

Now I am really digging this OTF programming feature.

But, anyway, if your ITS is wired correctly, does the OTF pendant have anything that adjusts the controlled acceleration or min/max of the throttle? Having something like that set too stiff may cause what you're seeing.
