Default 2007 G22E AllTrax install problem

I have a 2007 g22e that I recently installed a 400 amp AllTrax controller on. The cart runs perfectly fine with the stock moric controller, but I wanted to upgrade. I found a certified used controller on eBay from rocky top golf carts for $250. So I purchased it and installed it per the instructions. I also got a new solenoid and battery cables. And made sure to install the diode between the terminals on the solenoid, as the AllTrax is a 2015 model. All these mods were made prior to installing the controller and ran fine with the stock controller.

Now to the problems... When I press the pedal the solenoid clicks and the cart bucks wildly. The manual suggested disabling the speed sensor if this issue happens. I did that and now the cart just rocks forward 2-3ins when the pedal is pressed. I connected the computer to the controller and check for error codes, nothing. One thing that looked suspicious was the amps readout. Before the pedal was pressed it read -64 and went to 0.4 with the pedal fully pressed. The software is registering the acceleration perfect. I made sure to change it to the G22 throttle settings, and contacted AllTrax to get the correct field map for my aftermarket motor. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I plan on contacting AllTrax tomorrow. I’m leaning towards a bad controller, but I don’t know how to confirm it.

Look for the "enable high side drive" checkbox (it's at the bottom of the page). Be sure to click save after checking box. That will solve your issue.

Besides, that controller can't be failed, it was "certified used" by eBay.

Lol, Yeah I knew the risks that eBay presents and decided to take the gamble. I’ll give that a shot and report back. Thanks for the help!!!

Thanks cgtech, that worked perfectly! I will add for anyone else who has this issue in the future, that you have to go to options and enable the ability to turn on the high side drive.

This only applies to G22 & YDRE with Moric controllers.
