Trying to do drop-in LI batteries for 2001 Western, what mounting kit?
I'm brand new to electric golf carts and I just purchased a 2001 Western 48v, which I've been told is just an EZGO underneath. I have pictures at the end of this post.
What EZGO is it though? TXT or RXV? I see the controller is the square thing, what is the round thing next to it? Any good recommendations on drop-ins that are compatible and quality? I'm looking at this: http://www.apexgolfcarts.com/48Volt1...cleBatteryPack Any thoughts? |

The dash looks like a TXT to me. Congrats on the cart purchase!
The cylinder shaped thing beside the controller is the solenoid. It is a high amperage capable "switch" that disconnects/connects the battery pack to the controller. That pack should work for your cart. I would call and ask the continuous discharge rate and max discharge rate before ordering though. |
