Default Rear differential

Hey guys, I have a 1999 Club Car DS 48v

I have it up on jack stands and when I spin the left wheel I can hear what sounds like a ball bearing dropping. Doesn't do it when I spin the right wheel.

I've changed the gear oil and still does it. Suggestions?

Thanks

Yes. It's def. coming from closer to the center section... Sounds like ball bearings being dropped into a metal bowl. dink... dink... dink

Gear oil that I took out looks pretty clean too... No metal in it... Guess I'm gonna have to break it apart or try to locate a good used one.

Does it make any noise while driving straight? Only when you turn short? The spider gears can sometimes make a similar noise and it is usually nothing, just the teeth meshing, since they are straight bevel gears they are not exactly quiet by design.

I have only tried the cart on jack stands. The noise only happens at very low speed and right when it's about to stop spinning.
