alltrax upgrade question

I have a txt that has been upgraded.
Its 48v with heavy duty f/r switch
It has a alltrax 4844 400 amp non programable
And a emp motor (was told it was a stage 2)
Anyhow i really dont like the fact that i can not program the controller
Otherwise the cart runs great
My question is would it be worth selling my 400 amp and buying a 500 or 650 that is programable? Cart will run mid 20s on stock tires now and im ok with that but i would love a little more torque

Amps = torque so about the only way that you are going to get more torque is with a bigger controller or lower gears.

I would look at the Alltrax web site and review the controllable functions for the units you are considering. IF those functions will give you more, of what you want, than is available with the NPX, then go for it. Someone running a stock setup, who only wants to increase their reliability and run time, would probably be happy to take that NPX off your hands. That and a nice set of bigger cables would be a great improvement for a stock cart.
