1st Club Car Build
Hey all, Thanks to the content of this forum, I have embarked upon my 1st build. We start with a farm based 1999 Club Car DS. Upon first disassembly, I realized that approximately 100 pounds of the overall weight was ancient, caked on mud and rust. Yea!....ugh! Well, God hates a coward, so here we go! Being computer illiterate, how do I continue on this thread as I go along? Thanx very much for the help and great info, and wish me luck! :)

. . . upper right corner, above your username, click on "My Threads" and it will bring up a list of all the threads you have started . . then just select the thread you want to add to . . . easier to find this way, especially if your thread(s) are no longer on first page of forum . . .

Re: 1st Club Car Build
Next step! Roof and metal removed, front cowl removed, bagwell removed.
Upon further investigation I realize there are no battery hold downs, and that virtually every screw is rusted together and I get the unique opportunity to grind them off or drill them out.....yea!..... |

Re: 1st Club Car Build
After removing the seats, I tackled the rear cowl with the same success as the front (much cursing, penetrating fluid, grinding and drilling) :) then realized that mud is indeed an incredible binding agent. OK out of the garage to be hosed down.....

Re: 1st Club Car Build
OK, semi clean, time to order battery hold downs, 4 gauge cables set to replace rotten 6 gauge set, voltage reducer, fuse block, ground block, lift kit, tires and wheels, and new seat coverings. Just noticed that I have 2 different sizes of tires and 4 different tread patterns....Brilliant!
