Default 98 DCS blew controller again

One of our carts is a cobbled together 98 DCS, for the most part. Sent the controller out for a rebuild last year, it was good for about 8-10 months and its out again. Only thing we notice is the cart starts to lurch a bit when stepping on the acclerator for a few rounds before it runs, then it dies finally.

What's killing the controller?

If the rest of it includes a rear seat and/or tall tires, that is what is killing the controllers.

Stock DCS controller have no low-voltage cut-off and running them with weak or low SoC batteries will take them out.

Replace it with a an Alltrax DCX400DCS (which is Plug-n-Play) and be done with it.

I don't know much about carts, but I will tell you to look for rubbed wires going back to the motor from the controller. I was told to look there after 2 controllers. and that was my problem.

DCS controller uses a ITS throttle.
