New Member needs help with no start on engine
Hello Everyone,
I am new to the club....recently got a gas club car -- unsure of year -- it's been abused and needs a lot of TLC. Problem I am having currently is engine cranks, won't turn over, has spark but gas is feeding back into the filter like crazy???? Tried to use starter fluid - what a surprise -- backfired through the carb and caught fire.....put it out quickly - small flame -- Anyone have a diagram or info on how the gas lines should be correctly attached from engine to carb and carb to engine ... I'm new to this hobby and a novice who enjoys a challenge Thanks folks!!! Larry |

Re: New Member needs help with no start on engine
well the gas tank should be hooked up to the fuel pump in the direction if flow marked and the other to the carb and the one not in the direction of flow is hooked to the crankcase. thats sound a little confusing i now. but lmk if it works

Re: New Member needs help with no start on engine
Backfiring out the carb, check the intake valve clearance or both for that matter, sounds like the intake valve is not closing all of the way when it fires.
