99 TXT makes clunking noise from rearend.
I have a 99 TXT and it makes what sounds like gear slack noises from the rear end. I have replaced the spider gear assembly with a new limited slip one from ezgo, I have also called myself inspecting all gears and bearings that I can see or feel. Im thinking it may be slack between the ring gear and the middle gear. The splines on motor and input shaft look good but I do not have the spline bumper that I have seen referenced on other post. Anyone have any suggestions? I have replaced both rear axle bearings also. Thanks in advance....John

Re: 99 TXT makes clunking noise from rearend.
This is a very old post but most of the time when I get this noise it is either the input shaft/motor have worn down...that missing spline bumper from original poster hints to the same...
