Jake's lifts

I STOPPED AT A LOCAL CART SHOP TODAY TO GET THEIR OPINION ON A FEW THINGS. I AM WANTING TO GO WITH A JAKE'S 6" SPINDLE LIFT,BUT THE GUY AT THE SHOP TOLD ME THAT IT WOULD BE BETTER TO GO WITH THE DROP AXLE,HE SAYS THE SPINDLE LIFTS LOOK STUPID WITH THE LONG SPINDLES AND THAT THE SPINDLES MOVE THE FRONT END FORWARD. HE ALSO SAID THAT I WOULD NEED SPACERS FOR THE REAR.I DON'T PLAN ON DOING ANY MAJOR OFF ROADING, AND I LIKE THE SIMPLICTY OF THE SPINDLE LIFT. I ALSO MENTIONED THAT I WAS INSTALLING A NEW CONTROLLER AND HE TOLD ME THAT I DID NOT NEED TO,ALL I NEEDED TO DO WAS TO INSTALL A DIFFERENT MOTOR(WHICH I PLAN ON HAVING PQ REDO ANYWAY).I ALSO MENTIONED THE 48V CONVERSION AND HE TOLD ME IT WAS A WASTE,36V WAS ENOUGH AND ALL I WOULD GET WAS MORE TORQUE.

Find a different shop to go to... that guy hasn't a clue.

That was the first time that I have walked into that place,it is the closest place to me.They are also very pricey,I contact them before I buy anything(trying to support local business),but they don't even come close to any prices that I give them from other shops or interent.I don't see how they have been in business so long. No disrespect to them,if they can get the business from others but they won't get mine.

The lady in my local shop was more knowledgable than most and was willing to discuss anything about the cart i brought up. Thats the kind of place i return to. Good luck. Mike
