Default 2012 g29 lacking power and speed

Issue started last year with 5 year old batteries that still tested good, Just put new batteries in and it's slightly better but still not right power wise. Could it be the stock Hitachi motor on its way out.

sounds like I'm in order to do both motor and controller, What route do you suggest I take for mostly torque gains, We use the cart in a campground as a people hauler,( speed limit is 5 mph so speed don't matter much ) it has a 4" lift and 20" tires, the campground has some small hills we need to go up and down but no major hills. The cart did fine stock until this lack of power issue started so I'm not looking to go real wild and spend a fortune.

That hitachi motor is known to have issues but mine is still rolling. Only stock tires with a rear seat but I’ll run it till it starts acting up. I did put an alltrax xct300 in it and the difference is night and day. I would have gone with the 400 but someone here wasn’t happy with just the 300 so I picked it up from them. It also is used primarily by my sister and mother cruising the neighborhood so not needed. Spent a little time with the laptop and it is a sweet cart.
