Default If solenoid clicks can reed be bad?

I have a new to me 1994 EZ-Go TXT 36v that I pulled the reed switch out of. There is a jumper wire from the positive battery pack to the F/R switch that I think is bypassing it.

If the solenoid clicks I assume it's not the reed but wanted to make sure??

I can't get it to go but wanted to rule this out.

Thanks!

Thanks!

I'm slowly ruling things out. I bought an AllTrax controller from you and installed it but still can't get it to move. The tests I've done so far seem to be good. Reading full pack voltage at the controller and solenoid.

I'm guessing it's the motor. Any recommendations on a motor for a ragged out EZGO Txt 36v? I just want to use this thing for some yard work and checking the mail.....

Thanks Again

Just a suggestion, but you might want to do more troubleshooting before you run out and buy another motor. 94, so series cart, correct? If you’re getting the solenoid to click, the issue is somewhere in the high current system. Cables, fr, motor, controller. Are you getting pack voltage to the fr when you try to go? . Put the cart on stands to check. I’m not one of the experts, so I can’t give you a more dialed in troubleshooting guide, but confirming power to the fr wouldn’t be bad to confirm.
And what lights are showing on the controller when the solenoid clicks, then go full throttle?
