Swapping a shunt wound motor into a 1988 Marathon
Hey all,
I'm hoping to swap out the series-wound motor in my '88 Marathon for a shunt-wound motor. Anyone have any suggestions on a motor that would fit the bill in terms of mounting and performance? It doesn't have to be really high performance--just enough to keep the cart moving around. Thanks in advance! |

Just out of curiosity, why are you dumping the series system?

Series and shunt wound motors are not swapable without reworking the rest of the electrical harness and controller, as well as the F/R switch. Big project.
