what's the diff?
Does anyone know for sure if the rear end on a 2002 or later Club Car or even EZGO is a "limited slip" or "positraction" type?

Re: what's the diff?
Neither one is. Most, if not ALL electrics are Open type. Club Car makes a traction device you can buy. You can't tell by looking at the diff. You will have to open the diff.

Re: what's the diff?
Forgive my ignorance, but what does Open mean and do you know where you can get the traction devices?

Re: what's the diff?
An open rear means only one tire is doing all the work--non positraction. If your cart could spin the tires, an open rear would onjly smoke the right rear tire. A traction type rear would spin and smoke both rear tires equally-theoretically.

Re: what's the diff?
Does Cart Zone or anyone of the other sponsors carry the stuff to change it to positrack?
