ezgo is very slow
first off hello to everyone i am torch .first checked out this site two days ago for info on this ezgo that would barely move especially on hills i was very impressed with the info that i picked up in reading the postings and replies. i used that info and removed the driven clutch when i seperated it three broken allen heads fell out and realized the lobes inside the clutch, which closely resemled a compensater on the primary drive system of a harley motor cycle are totally ruined and worn down to nothing . i believe this is the problem of my slow speeds up hill and lack of smooth accelleration. can some one tell me if they have seen this .and am i on the right track to solve the problem. thanks

Re: ezgo is very slow
Clutches are consumable parts, they will wear out, the difference between that clutch and a compensating sprocket is the sprocket is made to absorb shock while the ramps on the driven clutch are to spread the pulley apart at a given rate to change the effective gearing of the cvt. Basically the driven clutch controls the rate of gearing change over the whole setup
