Complete noob here as well - first post! Thank you all for this information. I upgraded my 36 volt 2002 txt cart to a 500 amp controller and 36/48 volt motor last year, and finally got around to replacing old batteries with 48 volt Tech Direct battery pack. When going up hills at full throttle, cart shuts off momentarily, so guessing the Tech Direct bms not robust enough. So, need to upgrade bms. I'm assuming this setup here will provide enough amps for my controller.

Will follow links to order parts recommended in this thread, and would like to purchase plates, etc - please let me know how to do that. I don't have PM capability yet.

Thanks - Mike

PingEye3, again, so many thanks for sharing knowledge! Are you willing to build a complete power pack for a noob? If so, let me know how to go about ordering one.

Can somebody tell me the reasoning behind running the 48V that supplies the 48-12V converter thru the BMS discharge circuit. It seems one of my batteries went over the 4.15 limit and it locked out the discharge circuit so my accessories wouldn't work.

I just finished my Pingeye3 Lithium upgrade clone today. It turned out to be less expensive than I thought and the results were way beyond my expectations. Used to be I was only able to do 18 mph up my biggest hill now it will do 25 mph. Thanks to Pingeye3 and everyone else who contributed to this thread
