Default Dealing with rain

Fellows this weekend was rough, I spent the entire day with my club car, out in that pouring rain that the Midwest got. I thought I was a little bit prepared because I have a 42 by 80 roof that completely covers my passenger area and my cargo box, but the problem is that it exactly covers it so if the rain is blowing it all or coming down at any type of an angle, you're still wet. The only spots that managed to stay even a little bit dry are essentially directly up under the roof.

So I see that they make rain covers, but I'm not just sitting in my cart when I'm doing this, I'm in and out all the time. So what I think I actually need is to make or purchase some type of extendable awning that covers the entire perimeter of my roof and sticks out maybe 24-30 inch or so. That would let me and possibly a few close friends (after the virus scare is over) to stand close to the cart while it's pouring rain and still be able to access the cargo bed get in and out Etc. I think it would have to be extendable and retractable just because I haul the cart around in an enclosed trailer and it barely fits right now.

Default Re: Dealing with rain

Maybe look at a 4WD awning. They would be short enough to mount yet give adequate coverage. There are heaps of styles and designs out there.
Here is a random one from Australia - you're variety and pricing will be way better than here.

Edit: If you're handy you could whip something up using the 4WD awnings as inspiration.
