Re: ZEVA monitor not responding
I heard back from Ian and he gave me a couple of suggestions to try to remedy my monitor brightness. One of them being if I had access to an AVRISP type programmer I could clear the ROM to revert settings back to default. But I don't have any programming capabilities and he still thinks it may not work because clearing the memory wouldn't have any effect on the touch screen not responding. The other (which I had already done) was take the bezel a part from the screen to make sure the surface touching the screen was clean.
So I'm sending my monitor back for repairs or replacement under the warranty. I'll give an update once this gets figured out. Good thing about the BMS is that the monitor isn't needed if you've already saved your settings under the menu. But it's a convenience that I REALLY like having . So I hope to have it back very soon. |

Re: ZEVA monitor not responding
I agree with having the monitor.
OTOH.....how could you possibly make\change the settings if you don't have a monitor to begin with?? |

Re: ZEVA monitor not responding
You just tell Zeva the parameters You want and they will preconfigure it before sending the unit.
The monitor is definitely nice to have but not needed for the BMS to function. |

Re: ZEVA monitor not responding
Wow! So, after finding out the shipping rates to Australia to return my monitor for repairs in this tiny, .25lbs box; I think I'm better off buying a new monitor for a few dollars more.

Re: ZEVA monitor not responding
Yeah.....your right about simply ordering a new monitor. OTOH......is it your monitor, or the wiring you have?
Maybe hook up a short strand of the Belden wire and see if maybe your longer run of Belden wire is not working. Just a thought. |
