front track width to match rear

So I'd like to make my front suspension the same width as my rear, no lift installed, so the standard spacers will not work. I could see adding a washer to each lug or even putting a big washer on the back side of the hub. Any suggestions on the best way or what people have done? I am referring the rig in my avatar.

The washer idea will work as long as you don't have to put more than 3 of them so you have enough lug to tighten the nut 1/2 inch. i am running mine with washers in the front for spacing due to wide width tires. No problems so far.

It didn't create any wobble or unbalance?

Not on my cart so far. I did use a digital caliper to select equal thickness washers. my cart does not get above 20mph though, don't know how fast you are going top end. making sure they are the same ought to make it stable.

I looked at your avatar again and see you are running aluminum rims. It might or might not make a difference i am running steel rims. The aliminum rim spaced with a washer may be more easily bent without the backing plate of the hub touching. just a thought i am by no means an authority and am not using aluminum rims so...............I would think they would hold up though i have seen way worse engineering on these carts that you would think would not work.

All you need is to replace your current spindles with Front Wheel brake spindles.... They come from the dealer with no brakes and are approximately 1.5" more off-set than the current spindles... It'll even you right up where you want to be... Club Car uses these on a lot of their new carryalls, even models with no front brakes.

CHEAPJEEP2- The key to mounting mag-aluminum type wheels is to have as much or more contact surface area as on stock hubs. I would be reluctant to use washers to space mag or aluminum wheels as you would possibly be only holding right behind washers? Even with correct wheel lug nut using a torque wrench they seem to work loose much faster than steel wheels? I have seen wheel problems with lug extenders available at different suppiers which only touch a very small area rather than whole hub area on stock carts. The wheel spacers available seem to do much better but still have to be checked real often or they will work loose.
Local golf sand rigs use a spacer made of steel that has the same or more contact areas and dont have problems.

Ok I believe I have this answer but need a sanity check, What width spacer do I need to match the track width of the rear. Do I need .75" on each side or is it 1.5" on each side?

I went with lug spacers which are 1 3/8" and then I had 3/8" aluminum plates made the same size as the hub foot print so that gave me a flat surface to mount my steel wheel against in case I ever wanted to put mag type wheels on.
This came very close to making track the same.
