1998 EZGO will not go in forward or reverse

I have a 1998 series ezgo cart 36V. Few weeks ago the reverse stopped working. Yesterday, the forward also stopped working. The solenoid is clicking when I press the pedal. From reading some post it sounds like the high side of thr circuit. Where should I start? Thanks in advance.

FNR. A series controller doesn't know or care whether it's in forward or reverse (with the exception of 1/2 speed reverse). Motor doesn't care either. The rotor and stator windings are connected in series, so if it works in one direction, that pretty much rules out the motor.

Definitely the FNR.

Or contact poster Hawmarine, he's got a recent thread about a smoking solenoid. He's going to 54v lithium and is going to have a new 36v contactor for sale. This is easier to operate and takes a weak link out of the series system.
